THE POTOO

THE‌ ‌POTOO‌ ‌
THE‌ ‌POTOO‌ ‌I‌ ‌choose‌ ‌A ‌Potoo‌ ‌for‌ ‌my‌ ‌bird.‌ ‌I‌ ‌like‌ ‌the‌ ‌
Potoo‌ ‌because‌ ‌I‌ ‌saw‌ ‌its‌ ‌eyes‌ ‌and‌ ‌they‌ ‌were‌ ‌big‌ ‌and‌ ‌
yellow.‌ ‌They‌ ‌can‌ ‌also‌ ‌blend‌ ‌into‌ ‌trees‌ ‌to‌ ‌hide‌ ‌from‌ ‌
things.‌ ‌They‌ ‌are‌ ‌brown,‌ ‌they‌ ‌live‌ ‌in‌ ‌central‌ ‌america‌ ‌
and‌ ‌south‌ ‌america.‌ ‌They‌ ‌are‌ ‌about‌ ‌21‌ ‌to‌ ‌58‌ ‌cm.‌ ‌It‌ ‌
depends‌ ‌how‌ ‌big‌ ‌they‌ ‌are.‌ ‌They‌ ‌have‌ ‌large‌ ‌heads‌ ‌for‌ ‌
their‌ ‌body‌ ‌sizes‌ ‌and‌ ‌long‌ ‌wings‌ ‌and‌ ‌tails.‌ ‌

  1. I have never heard of this bird Mackai, and would really like to see an image of it, but by reading about the potoo, it is probably very hard to take a photo of something that camouflages itself very well. Is it endangered and do the big eyes mean it is a night feeder? What does its call sound like and can you put this audio clip into your DLO to make it more multimodal? A suggestion is when you are pasting, use Cntrl Shift V to paste, that way your formatting from where you copied it is stripped away. Also try previewing before you publish, that way you can improve it and stop it creeping into the sidebars of the blog. Reminder to reflect on the process and product of your learning.
